SUICIDE IS REAL.

Suicide for me for so many years has been my first line of escape. Let’s call it a coping mechanism or just a defense mechanism. Suicide was always the first thought I had when anything unpleasant happened to me. ”If I die, I wouldn’t be here to experience it ”.

I still fantasize about death. Now, however, I make myself look at other things that I can dedicate my energy to.
Suicidal tendencies are scary. You may feel like the worse is happening in your life or you just don’t deserve to be alive. Just let me tell you you are not alone.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.

Please talk to someone when you begin to feel like that. There are people that genuinely love you and care for you and are ready to listen to you without judgment. I am still here today because I opened up and talked to friends and family.

No one wants to die, they just want the suffering to stop. They just don’t want to feel the type of way they are feeling.

Dear you, you can play a part in preventing suicide too.

First, please know that not everyone is blessed to see life as you do, not everyone has a great coping mechanism you have and not everyone has great mental health.
Please show love and kindness to everyone, intentionally work, and build a trusting friendship, and aspire to be a safe space. If you identify anyone having mental health issues, please help them find help.

Don’t tell people to suck it up, don’t tell them to man up or to stop being too critical of themselves. If they could, they wouldn’t have gotten that bad. Offer support and listen without judgment.
If you are Christian, please pray for them. While I went through my phase, I knew people who loved me were praying for me and it helped me fight a little longer.

If you are having tendencies, this is my truth. Try Jesus.

Suicide is real. Be a safe haven, let your words be kind, and be love everywhere you go.
