Welcome!
If you read that, it means you made that wonderful decision to click on the link. Thank you and welcome to me blog.
What in Jupiter is this blog about. Are those your thoughts? Well, relax, the answer is here now.
My name is Afiya, a Kiswahili name that means Health. I choose this name to represent my journey. A journey to healthy living, spiritually, mentally and physically. Also, I am a Friday born of Ashanti origin, so yeah, Afiya.
Imagine yourself in a maze. This maze has a door all similar to the rest of the maze with only a knob to identify as an opening. Lost? Running in cycles? Does that seem familiar?
What of a broken glass with fine edges, with countless pieces to put together. Never adding up?.
That had been the story of my life for a long time, Lost, broken, defeated.
In those moments of my life, I sought to find something or someone to hold on to. To know that I belonged, that I was not alone, that I mattered. Someone to tell me it would get better.
Glory to God, I found grace. I found a light and it’s leading me home. I am still healing and I want this journey to be with you that needs my kind of healing.
This page is for that person who is dealing with depression, anxiety, trust issues, insecurity, low self-esteem, etc. Its for that person who has hit rock bottom in life and doesn’t know how to get up. This blog talks about my journey as well as that of others through life and seeks ultimately to let you know that you are not alone. We seeks to give you hope. Afiya seeks to be that hand that would pat your shoulder and let you know It is okay.
On here, it is all about life and living it.
We are delving into issues that are unspoken of in our society. We are getting down to the roots of everyday issues men, women and children alike have to deal with and how to deal with them. It might not be for you and it’s okay. You might not identify with it and it’s okay. Above everything it’s a prayer that you learn to hope again. Once again, welcome to my blog.
Let’s do this.
love forever,
Afiya.
